Welcome! Welcome to the Magfos Travel Pages, the internet home of Noelene Magnusson and David Foster. Both of us are keen travellers and touring cyclists and over the years we have travelled extensively within Australia and in many other countries. Stories of some of our travels can be found here. Most of these stories are of our cycle tours as well as David's walk on the Camino de Santiago. We hope that you can find something of interest in these stories. Over the last few years, David has experienced has experienced a series of physical and medical problems problems that have stopped us doing as much cycle touring as we would like. These have resulted in David having a total knee replacement in December, 2008. We are now back enjoying our regular daily cycling regime. It is good to be able to leave the car at home on our regular trips to the Adelaide Central Markets. Hopefully, we will be back cycle touring before too long. In each of the last three years, we made long caravan journeys through Australia. We have travelled in excess of 65,000 kilometres on and off the beaten track. We have been to some truly spectacular places but realise that we have only just scratched the surface of this great country. It's not the same as touring by bicycle, but…. Stories of these two long trips will be added to this website soon. (The first part of our 2008 journey is here - Well, you can't rush these things!) David is a keen landscape photographer and photographs of our caravan trips around Australia can be found at http://www.davidfosterphotos.com . Photos from some of our other trips are at http://www.pbase.com/magfos . We are more than happy to provide any assistance that we are able for anyone planning a cycling holiday in Australia or any of the other countries that we have visited. Our email user name is "magfoss" and our internet provider is "gmail". Just add an @ and a .com in the appropriate places. Adelaide Touring Cyclists is an active Adelaide based cycle touring club. Their website has a number of stories from various tours as well as lots of practical information on cycle touring.
